Description
The Sims Uterine Sound is a manual, probe-style instrument with a specific function in gynecology and obstetrics to determine the length and direction of the cervical canal and uterine cavity before other procedures, such as IUD insertion, dilation and curettage (D&C), or diagnostic hysteroscopy.
Its blunt, bulbous tip is designed to minimize the risk of uterine perforation during insertion. The malleable shaft allows the surgeon to bend it to match the natural curve of the patient's cervix and uterus, accommodating anatomical variations.
